Terms & Conditions of the competition: WIN AN IKONIK EXPERIENCE (digital)

1. Promoter Information

The promoter of this competition is Karl Lagerfeld B.V., Herengracht 182, 1016 BR Amsterdam, The Netherlands ("Promoter").

2. Eligibility

This WIN AN IKONIK EXPERIENCE (digital) competition (“Competition”) is open to individuals aged 18 years or older and legally resident in one of the following countries: Germany, France, Great Britain and Spain ("Eligible Countries"). Residents of the Netherlands are excluded from participation. Employees of the Promoter, its affiliates, or anyone professionally connected with the Competition are not eligible.

3.  Competition Period

The Competition begins at 09:00 AM CET on September 15, 2026, and ends at 09:00 AM CET on October 15, 2026. Entries received after this period will not be considered.

4. How to Enter

Participants can enter the Competition via Digital Activation methods, including through digital campaigns, website activation, or accessing the Competition page via the QR code displayed on in-store Point-of-Sale (POS) materials ("Digital Activation").

4.1  Eligible individuals may enter via:

  • Digital Campaigns: Participants can enter through
    CRM emails or digital advertisements on social media that direct to the entry
    form hosted on the CRM platform of the Promoter.
  • Website: Participants can visit
    www.karllagerfeld.com and access the dedicated Competition page, then complete
    the entry form. This may be via a popup or direct visit.
  • Digital In-Store Activation: At selected stores in Great Britain, France, Spain, and Germany, participants can scan a QR code displayed on in-store POS materials to access the Competition landing page and submit an entry.

4.2   To participate, each individual must provide the following
information:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Email address
  • Residential address
  • Confirmation of acceptance of these Terms & Conditions (without this, participation is not possible)

4.3 Participation is entirely free of charge. No purchase or payment
is required at any stage, including in order to claim the prize.

4.4 Participants may optionally consent to receive marketing communications. This consent is not required to participate in the Competition and can be withdrawn at any time.

4.5 Each individual may enter only once via Digital Activation. Where an individual submits multiple entries, only the first valid entry received will be retained and any subsequent entries will be disregarded.

4.6  Where the prize, specified in section 5.1 (“Macau prize”) is also promoted through a separate activation mechanism, an individual may participate through all available channels, subject to the terms applicable to the relevant promotion. However, each individual may win a maximum of one Macau prize across
all promotions forming part of the “Win an Ikonik Experience” campaign.

4.7  If a participant who has already won a Macau prize through another promotion forming part of the campaign is selected as a winner through the Digital Activation, that participant will be excluded and an alternative winner will be selected through a further random draw from the remaining eligible entries.

 4.8 A participant may withdraw from the Competition at any time before the draw by contacting the Promoter at [email protected] in which case their entry will be removed and they will no longer be eligible for the prize. Withdrawal from the Competition, or objection to Competition-related communications necessary to administer the Competition, may mean the Promoter is unable to include the participant in the draw or to award the prize. 

4.9  The terms and conditions of the Competition shall be easily accessible to participants. Online, they will be made available (together with the privacy notice) before the participant enters, by means of a tick box by which the participant confirms having read and accepted these Terms & Conditions;

All key Competition details, including entry requirements, eligibility, prize information, winner notification and Promoter details, will be communicated in the promotional materials.

5. PRIZE

5.1  There is one (1) prize awarded through the Digital Activation. The one (1) winner and their guest will receive the following prize (one prize per two individuals):

  • Five (5)-night accommodation in an Ikonik Suite at THE KARL LAGERFELD MACAU (subject to Blackout dates specified in section 5.2. of these Terms & Conditions) or other room and/ or hotel in the same class at the discretion of Promoter;
  • Daily breakfast for two (2) persons at The Book Lounge;
  • One (1) tasting dinner for two (2) persons at MESA by José Avillez;
  • Food & Beverage credits of approximate EUR 100 per person;
  • Round-trip limousine transfers between Hong Kong International Airport and THE KARL LAGERFELD MACAU; and
  • Access to the spa & fitness facilities.
  • Round-trip flights for the winner and one (1) guest to Macau, arranged and paid for by the Promoter (including flight routing, airline and travel class, as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion).

Total estimated prize value: €8,500 to €10,000 per prize.

5.2 Prize Conditions:

  • Travel and accommodation will be arranged by the Promoter or its
    travel and hospitality partner.
  • The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash
    alternative is offered.
  • The winner and guest must:

o  Be 18 years or older at the time of entry

o   Reside in one of the Eligible Countries

o   Have valid travel documents

  • The Promoter or its dedicated agent will support the winner and their guest with the arrangement of any required visa and travel insurance. The Promoter provides assistance only and, in particular, does not guarantee that a consulate or an authority responsible for issuing visas will grant the necessary authorizations and visas (on time). This is the sole responsibility and risk of the winner. The winner is responsible for arranging their health insurance during the period of travel.
  •  The prize must be accepted within 5 (five) days of the winner being notified. Following acceptance, the Promoter will coordinate the travel arrangements with the winner. The trip must take place between 1 November 2026 and 30 April 2027, excluding the following blackout periods: 19-22 November 2026, 24-26 December 2026, 30-31 December 2026, 1-2 January 2027, 6-12 February 2027, and 26-29 March 2027 provided that the visa arrangements are fulfilled, where applicable.
  •  Any taxes or levies that are legally required to be borne by the Promoter (such as gambling/prize tax payable by the organiser) will be paid by the Promoter. Any taxes that are legally required to be paid by the winner (such as any personal income tax on the prize) remain the winner's own responsibility. No UK tax is payable by the winner on the prize.
  • The participant is obliged to provide correct, up-to-date and complete information when participating in the Competition. The Promoter may request a winner to provide proof of his/her identity and valid registration at the home or residential address provided by the participant prior to awarding the prize.
  •  The Competition is subject to all applicable laws and regulations, including any applicable local rules on promotional games of chance and advertising in the participant's country of residence. Participants must comply with these applicable rules, and participants who do not meet the applicable conditions may be excluded from participation.
  •  The Promoter reserves the rights to amend or modify the prize or any of its element. In the event that any prize component becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Promoter’s reasonable control, Promoter shall provide a substitute benefit of equal or greater value.

6. Winner Selection, Notification & Acceptance

6.1  The winner of the Macau prize will be selected at random. No skill is required to win. The draw will be conducted in accordance with applicable promotional games of chance requirements and these Terms and Conditions.

6.2  Winner Selection Process

The winner participating through the Digital Activation channel will be selected as follows:

The draw will occur at 12:00 PM CET on 15 October 2026 after the closing of the Competition. The winner will be notified by email after the draw taking place.

  • The winner who will participate through the Digital Activation mechanism will be selected at random using an independent third-party draw service that generates verifiable random results (Random.org). Each eligible entry will be assigned a unique number, and the winning number will be drawn automatically.
  •  Evidence of the random selection will be retained by the Promoter to demonstrate the random and transparent selection process. The Promoter will not upload participants’ personal data to Random.org.

6.3 Notification

The winner will be notified by email within a reasonable period following the draw using the email address provided upon entry. The Promoter will make reasonable attempts to contact the winner using the contact details provided. 

6.4 Acceptance by the Winner

Participants who win must confirm their acceptance of the prize within 5 (five) days of notification via e-mail: [email protected]. This acceptance period will be stated in the promotional materials.

6.5  Redraw

If a selected winner does not respond within 5 (five) days of notification, declines the prize, or is found to be ineligible, or has already won a Macau prize through another promotion forming part of the campaign, an alternative winner will be selected through a further random draw from the remaining eligible participants who completed the required entry process. 

6.6 Publication

The Promoter will make available, on request, the surname and county/country of the winner(s). Participants will be informed of this at or before entry and given the opportunity to object to, or reduce, the details published. Where a participant objects, the Promoter will still provide the required information to the competent advertising authority if requested. Any further publication of winner details in communication materials (e.g. an email announcing the winner) will take place only with the winner's explicit consent.

7. Data Collection & Usage

7.1. The Promoter processes personal data in connection with the Competition to administer the Competition, verify eligibility, select and contact the winner, arrange and fulfil the prize, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, protect the integrity of the Competition and otherwise perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

This may include personal data relating to participants, winners and accompanying guests where necessary for the administration of the Competition and the fulfilment of the prize. 

Where a prize includes an accompanying guest, the winner shall ensure that the guest is informed that their personal data may be provided to the Promoter and relevant prize fulfilment partners for the purposes of administering the Competition and arranging and delivering the prize. Before providing any personal data relating to a guest, the winner shall ensure that they are authorised to do so and, where required by applicable law, have obtained any necessary permissions.

 The legal basis for this processing is:

  • the performance of the arrangements arising from participation in the Competition
    (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); and
  • where applicable, the Promoter's legitimate interests in administering and securing
    the Competition, verifying eligibility, preventing fraud or misuse, maintaining
    records relating to the Competition and establishing, exercising or defending
    legal claims (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7.2.  Where a participant separately opts in to receive marketing communications, the Promoter processes the relevant personal data for that purpose on the basis of the participant's consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Such consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

8. Liability

8.1  The Promoter shall have unlimited liability for wilful misconduct and gross negligence, as well as in cases of injury to life, limb, or health; in cases of strict liability prescribed by law; and in cases where Promoter has assumed a strict liability guarantee. 

8.2 The Promoter is liable for simple negligence only to the extent that material contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) are breached, and such liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. Cardinal obligations are defined as those obligations which, according to the meaning and purpose of the agreement, the other party to the contract is specifically intended to be granted, or whose fulfilment is essential for the proper performance of the agreement in the first place, and on whose compliance the other party to the contract may reasonably rely.

8.3  Liability for indirect and unforeseeable damages, lost profits, lost savings, and financial losses arising from third-party claims is excluded in cases of simple negligence.

8.4 The foregoing provisions also apply in favour of Promoter’s employees, subcontractors, and other agents.

9. Force Majeure

The Promoter cannot be held accountable for any delay in, or failure to perform, its obligations under these Terms and Conditions, nor for any cancellation, modification or postponement of the Competition or the prize, where this is caused by events beyond its reasonable control (including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, war, terrorism, epidemics or pandemics, government measures, or travel restrictions).

In the event of such circumstances, the Promoter may, at its reasonable discretion and to the extent permitted by applicable law, postpone the Competition or the prize, amend the arrangements, or offer a reasonable alternative of equivalent value.


10. Amendments

The Promoter may amend these Terms & Conditions or cancel, suspend or modify the Competition where reasonably necessary, for example on account of legal, regulatory or operational reasons or events beyond its reasonable control. Any such changes will be posted on the Competition page, and the Promoter will take reasonable steps to notify participants of any material change. The Promoter will not amend these Terms and Conditions to the detriment of participants during the Competition period, except where required by applicable law.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in the participant's country of residence. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, except to the extent that mandatory law in the participant's country of residence requires otherwise.

In particular, a consumer resident in Great Britain may bring proceedings in, and may generally only be sued in, the courts of their place of residence.

Complaint procedure: Participants may submit any complaints relating to the Competition by email to [email protected]. The Promoter will review the complaint and aims to provide a response within 14 days of receipt. If additional time is required to investigate the matter, the participant will be informed accordingly. Submission of a complaint does not affect any rights available to participants under applicable law.
